05 Career Prospects
The field of Computing and Information Technology has grown rapidly in the past ten years. IT is no longer viewed as a service provider within the management process, but as an essential part of the strategic planning of the organisation. In Ireland we are fortunate to have the European Headquarters of firms such as Microsoft, Intel, Hewlett Packard, Vivendi, Google etc. These firms employ many IT graduates and Computing specialists.
Higher National Diplomas
We would recommend the Higher National Diplomas for prospective students who may not want to commit to a three year or four year degree programme at this time. These two year programmes allow the student to graduate with the HND qualification and then if they would like to progress onto a degree programme they may do so.
