QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland) is an independent State agency responsible for promoting quality and accountability in education and training services in Ireland. It was established in 2012 by the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012.

The development of this Certificate has been with reference to the National Skills Strategy 2025 and Technology Skills 2022. This Certificate may be used as part of a building block for learners who would like to develop further their career in Operations Management and Logistics (learners may build on their yellow belt lean six sigma certificate).
Project management represents a core strategic competence for contemporary organisations and businesses of all types, as well as a high-demand skill for graduates entering the contemporary labour market. This Certificate is aimed at providing students with an integrated knowledge of the fundamentals of project management, as well as an understanding of its constituent phases and processes including initiation, execution, monitoring, and closing.
Part of this Certificate will include the delivery a of Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate. Learners will be provided with the knowledge and capability to use problem solving methodologies, PDCA, use tools to define SIPOC, Process mapping and run charts. ICD Business School will also provide to all learners a short online programme that will deliver specific skills in relation to the use of online technology, such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The purpose being to ensure that all learners will have the skills to interview online using Zoom/Microsoft Teams and to highlight their skills to prospective employers using online technology. This short course will also be provided to all participants of this Project Management Certificate.

This course will be delivered online.
Classes will be held on two evenings from 18:00 to 20:00 per week (Mondays and Thursdays provisionally) from January 23, 2023 for 3 months.

Candidates who already hold a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) award at Level 7 or mature candidates (above 23 years of age in the previous January) who do not hold a NFQ award at Level 7 but possess 36 months’ experience leading projects and Candidates possessing intermediate working knowledge of computers in addition to having access to a computer with internet access

English Language

If English is not your native language, you must show that your English level is of a suitable standard. ICD Business School requires IELTS at 6.0

In response to the worldwide closure of English Language Test Centres arising from the Covid-19 pandemic, ICD Business School is now accepting the online Duolingo English Test (DET) as valid proof of English proficiency. This is a temporary measure for the 2022 intake.

Learners who complete this programme are awarded a Certificate in Project Management from QQI* and a copy of the transcript. Please note that there is a QQI parchment fee of Euro 50, which will only be invoiced to students who successfully completes the course.

Successful completion of the certificate’s component module(s) may entitle learners to exemption(s) from the related module(s) on degree programme(s) at ICD Business School and or other institutions/professional bodies.

Where a learner has completed the Certificate and wishes to transfer to another programme of study with another institution, ICD Business School will provide a transcript of results and credits attained and will provide written confirmation of the learner’s period of enrolment with the College to the other provider.
